Access Student List

The student list feature within "Courses" is an email function as well as a biographical information form for each student in the course.

If you are interested in sending email to them or finding out about the students in your class, click on student list and then when you get this screen here, follow the instructions where as in the ID, you type in your initials and your last five digits of your social security number.

We will go in as the student, Mike Dorso, and type in your password, which is the first four digits of your social security number.

Click submit.

Once you are in this database, you then choose the class you want to look at, which if you are signed up for more than one, you see more than one choice. At this point you can view the class roll, which will give a list of the students in your class. From here, you can view their biography or send them email. This is the list of students in this particular class.

If I wanted to view a student's biography, I simply click on their name and it will display the biography information that they had typed in themselves once the class started. Notice also they can choose a picture of themselves and they have their email address, which is their preferred email address.

You can go to the next or previous student in the class, back to the class roll, or back to the log in page.

We will go back to the class roll and lets send an email to this student. To do so, we scroll down and then we simply select the student that we want to send email to.

Notice we can select several, however, if these students have not entered their email address such as these two, they will not receive the email. So once we have selected those we want (notice we have the "send to all" function), we select send mail. If your Netscape is configured correctly for your email, you can type in a subject and then type a message and select send. The student should receive the email.

When you are finished, you can simply click home and you are back to the home page.
